Warning: Complaints abound in this entry
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
i just finished 100 Years of Solitude. Its so depressing. The final pages are just a detailed desciption of the failure of a family and of a town. Its really not fun light material for the middle of the night.
Im getting a bunch of yardword done tomorrow. There taking down two trees that are supposedly dead. Idk, i suppose its a good and rational decision, seeing as how, if the trees fell, theyd fall right on my room, but its kinda sad realizing that there isnt gonna be shade there anymore.
Robotics has been taking up alot of my time recently, but its fun and entertaining, so the time kinda just flys by. Ship date is on tuesday, and it looks like most of the small problems will be fixed by then.
Tried to get a game at tysons today, but the stores all closed as cbass and i walked in. And thennnnnnn, going to Best Buy across the street, i couldnt buy the game cause im not 17. 3 frickin months. So we tried to find an ATM for cash, so that cbass could buy it for me. But we couldnt find anyplace, and when we got back to best buy it was closing anyway.
Soccer starts today. And i havent gotten my physical yet. Idk. This year, i just feel that soccer is going to be a waste of time. The only benefit of soccer is getting into shape. I dont really enjoy it, and all of the ppl that made it bearable have quit. So i guess im going to go try out. And probably make varsity, but not get any playing time. I feel like I have to continue in order to maintain evidence of dedication on my transcript, but for no other reason.
Blah. Im sry this entry is so depressing. but its kinda how i feel right now. Im having serious regrets of my course schedule this year. After the philosophical discussion in TOK over the mentality of modern youth, and how its dominated by preparations for college, im realizing that I havent chosen this ridiculous course load for any personal learning benefit, just to make myself more competitive on the college playing field. I would rather spend my time in math physics and drawing/arts courses than the stupid shit that we do for history and english. English is bearable, but history is just plain annoying. French. omfg. Ppl say that college is the place where you get to go do stuff you actually like, but theres no guarantee of that. I would really like the feeling of a place where i can truly excel and feel good about it, without having to break my back to compete with others in the classes that i abhor.
Blah, im just sick and tired of dealing with all this pressure. and then having to deal with stupid shit from my parents, who have been quite irrational lately.
im sure other ppl feel like this, so im probably just another whiny youth. But yea, whatevs.
fuck it
im out

English will not be bearable next year with Dr. Defazio!! ZOMG!
French is omfg indeed...
history is irritating...I wish they offered HL European History so I would take it! History of the Americas is boring stiffed.
Maths will be really really really annoying next year (HL Maths!)
btw...in the 'philosophical discussion' in TOK last week, Mr. Scharff forgot to mention 'pendatic scholasticists'. They study for both grades + the sake of learning! Now that's something...!
Anyway, have fun with 5 HLs (Eng, Hist, Maths, Physics, Chem) next year lol! =P
:( misery can be fun sometimes!
What oxymoron!
