Biking

<nerd>
Im posting from this cool firefox extention that graham showed me called performancing
</nerd>

so yea. Yesterday me cbass andrew and cbass' dad went biking on various bike paths for about 28 miles. Took the W&OD to the Custis Trail all the way to the very front of the Kennedy Center. Then we turned around and biked along the George Washington Memorial Parkway past the airport (National Airport). Theres a really pretty view over the potomac of all the memorials and stuff. When you get near the airport, the path goes perpendicular to the end of the main runway, and the planes pass right over you. From there we continued on to a marina where andrew keeps his sailboat, that were thinking about taking out sometime. FInally, we took the Four Mile Run trial all the way back to where it meets the W&OD again.

So we went back to andrews house and played this board game called Masterpiece which was pretty fun.

Today i had a cello lesson, with a teacher who is perpetually PMSing. Normally I can deal with her, but I was in Delaware all last week so i couldnt practice, but I practiced enuf when I got back to know the new piece well enuf. So i get there, and I say, Im running into some problems here. So shes like, ok, here lemme play that part for you. She then proceeds to play all the movements of that piece twice. 45 min of her repeating way too long sections of the piece, watevs, not my money thats paying for it.

THE END

Yep. A new post. Fancy that.

Hm.

Went to Rehoboth Beach, DE for a week with family. Awesome fun. Got totally wrecked body/boogey surfing.

Confucious say: Go into wave and crash on sand many time, come out with sore nipple.

Cousins were kinda annoying. (I have three first cousins ages 11, 8, and 7) But not too terribly annoying. Luckily I wasnt stuck with babysitting. I was thinking that mebe we could get together some ppl, and rent a house/ stay at a hotel next summer, cause that would be infinitely more fun than a family vacation. Itd prolly be upwards of $200 a piece tho for food and gas plus renting fees.

Visited Washington University in St. Louis before going to the beach. Had an awesome time. I talked to the dean of the mechanical engineering department. He seemed like a cool guy, and the university sounded much more research (as opposed to vocationally) oriented. Which was refreshing. The campus is really consolidated with uniform modern-gothic style architechture, which I found appealing. St. Louis itself, is eh. Kinda a spread out city. The suburb where Wash U is, tho, is very nice, with all sorts of interesting restaurants and venues. All in all, it has definitely been the place that has spoken to me most, and allows for both what I want as well what my parents are encouraging academically.

Finished Scarlet Letter. Liked it much more than Night. The language was kinda thick, but I got used to it after a while. Starting on the history assignment, which is a drag.

Thats about it.

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
im back from
minnesota
had an amazing time. I wish I could have stayed for the four weeks.
odds are against it, but I hope I get to see those peeps again. i might be able to go on the trip next year, or I might be a counselor, but prolly at Lac Du Bois or something.

Voyageur National Park is amazing. I have pictures and stories, but you definitely have to go and see it for yourself. its an experience.

My pictures are getting developed at CVS but here are the highlights:
-Cliff Jumping
-Sunburn and then boiling water = 2nd degree burns on my hands
-Saw a double rainbow
-Did a 2 hour solo = sitting in the forest on a random island by yourself and doing whatever for how long. I meditated. It was a very hippy/spiritual experience.
-Voyageur National park
-Sunrise on the Namakan narrows right after viewing centuries-old petroglyphs
-meeting awesome ppl. zoe, charline, chalifour, gavroche, etc.
-meeting awesome counselors that are slightly older than i am
-seeing this awesome guy named dahveed. He might not be able to count the times hes almost died on his hands.
-etc
-etc
-etc

no one is around, which sucks. I feel kinda trapped in this apartment with my parents. ugh. i need something new to do.

pictures later.
